Park & Pray
Are you hesitant to enter a sanctuary? Are you short on time? Are you more comfortable in your vehicle than a pew? Do you have small children or other members in your family who find it difficult to sit for an extended period in a church setting? Would you like to experience God in an alternative way? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then park & pray may be right for you! Park & pray is a weekly, 30 minute “drive in” worship experience in CHCC’s parking lot. Your vehicle or your lawn chair is your sacred space.
Park & Pray visitors enter CHCC’s parking lot, are greeted by a member of the congregation and are given a one page bulletin with information outlining the procedure for tuning to the FM radio station that will broadcast the worship experience. Then visitors choose a parking spot and prepare for worship.
The Park & Pray worship experience includes music, prayer and words of encouragement using a Biblical text. These words help to connect the text to daily life. Communion will be available for those that wish to partake. There will also be an optional collection.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
Do you struggle to find time to pray? When you find a few minutes for face time with God, does prayer feel boring, mind-numbing and pointless?
OPEN ROAD provides the real-world tools you need to make interesting, thought-provoking and meaningful prayer a part of your busy life.
Packed full of practical strategies and 30 days of creative prayer exercises, OPEN ROAD is more than just another book about prayer. It's a companion for your journey home to God and the first step toward a more spiritually authentic way of life.
During this series we will meet for a discussion of a weekly theme and then will engage in a prayer exercise as a group. Participants are encouraged to commit to 10-15 minutes of daily prayer as they explore other creative prayer styles suggested by the book. Purchase of the book is encouraged but not mandatory, and it is readily available in paperback and Kindle formats on Amazon.
Most weeks we meet at 6 PM for dinner (bring your own) in the church lounge, and our study begins at 7 PM. We hope to see you there!
